Betty Kuan Fui Ha

Senior Counselor

Betty Kuan is a board-certified dialogic-diagnostic arts therapist with the International Association of Counselors & Therapists based in the USA. She has also obtained master’s degree in social science (counseling) with the University of South Australia and master’s degree in education training and development with the University of Hull. 

Betty has devoted her career to the field of education, and has served the Singapore’s Ministry of Education in multiple esteemed roles for more than forty years. Beginning her career as a dedicated teacher, she progressed through the professional hierarchy to assume the role of Head of Department and ultimately, Vice-Principal at a local primary school.

Since her retirement in 2009, Betty has assumed a diverse range of responsibilities, demonstrating her steadfast dedication to supporting and mentoring junior educators. She has contributed her knowledge and skills as a part-time lecturer and tutor at the Singapore’s National Institute of Education and the Singapore’s Ministry of Education, where she has provided valuable training to junior educators in subjects including Attention Deficit-Hyperactivity Disorder and Classroom Management.

Additionally, Betty has significantly contributed as a practicum supervisor, providing guidance to allied educators, trainee-teachers and junior educators within local special needs schools. In addition to her academic pursuits, Betty has provided empathetic support in her capacity as a part-time school counselor and an Employee Assistance Programme counselor, offering assistance to individuals navigating through their personal and professional obstacles. Her commitment to ongoing personal and professional development is demonstrated through her engagement in delivering counseling modules, leading workshops on leadership, and supervising practicum experiences for Adult and Continuing Education programs.
